If you like camping and nature you’ll enjoy this off-grid getaway! Our Yome is a Dome style frame structured tent on wooded deck. The entrance is a window door with an elevated forest view. Sit on the porch and listen to the rushing of the nearby creek. Day hike our wooded 70 private acres, with pastured chickens for fresh egg breakfast optional extra fee. Bring your own outdoor grill or camp stove for cookout. Wood stove inside for cold weather warmth. Cut dry wood provided extra fee. This is a unique outdoor camping experience for a single, couple or small family, and a nice break for avid hikers. The bed is a double wide futon with a lofted twin mattress. ( no railing) Furnishings include table and chairs and rockers with a rug. The Yome lighting is by battery powered lantern. Bring your flashlights or lanterns. There is NO electricity. The outside deck will accomodate your small grill but no indoor cooking please. (Breakfast is served by reservation at our house patio available for a nominal fee.) The dedicated private bathroom has electricity to power your phone or small electronics. This is an outdoor nature lovers respite for guests who enjoy wild places in comfort. If you hate bugs, occasional nesting mice, visiting deer and a possible bear sighting this is NOT for you!! Bring your sleeping bags or blanketed bedroll for best experience. Clean sheets and towels are provided. Bring your own cooking gear or eat out at the local brew pubs. Standing shower and utility sink with flush commode in private bathroom, available within a short walk through garden into our home walkout basement. We are available to provide direction and information to help you enjoy our beautiful Rockfish Valley and all it offers visitors. We ask you to provide your ETA so we can greet and help you have what you need to settle in. We are an LGBTQ Welcoming family home. Our Yome is minutes from where the Blue Ridge Parkway meets Skyline Drive and the Rockfish Valley's Route 151 leads to 5 wineries, 3 breweries, a cidery and distillery. The site offers pastoral views and hikes into our private 70 acres. Our free range chickens provide fresh eggs for an optional $12 full breakfast. Our Yome is good for couples and solo adventurers! For AT hikers an Angel ride is available for $5. From Blue Ridge Gap to our site. Glampers may enjoy the upscale service of a transportation company offering tours for you to relax and ride to historic or stunningly beautiful mountain vineyards. Outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy this glamping experience. Fresh water access in bathroom and provided by bottle in Yome. No electricity or cooking inside Yome. You can charge a cell phone via front porch outlets outside house or using a bathroom outlet. Weather appropriate footwear recommended for walking through grass to car and bathroom.
