An in-laws apartment with kitchenette (no stove or dishwasher). All interior doors are wheelchair accessible. The shower has 2 sit down seats, there is a home sauna in the walk in closet. The sitting room has a couch and chair and TV. The bedroom/kitchenette has a TV. There is a spacious closet with a writing table. The back yard has a privacy fence, screened canopy (used in summer months) and a swing. The area is residential with sidewalks. The spacious 640 SF apartment adjoining the back of the house is enclosed with a privacy fence. The neighborhood is residential with sidewalks for walkers and joggers. In the fenced area is a screened canopy with comfortable outdoor chairs and the back patio has a swing, and chairs. In the growing season there are flowers. It is the perfect place for the traveling dog lover. The floors are laminate. We share the laundry equipment. The kitchen is functional with a microwave, double sink with disposal, electric skillet, electric eyelet and pot, a toaster, a small crock pot, a convection oven and coffee pot. There is also a 3 qt Insta-Pot with tool set. If you want to make hard boiled eggs or rice in the Insta-Pot it is no problem. The kitchen does not have a dishwasher. There is a drainer board under the sink and a drainer pad in the drawer. The main house has a washer and dryer and we let you enter our area to wash and dry your load of wash. Please message me so that I can allow you to come in and wash and dry. The apartment is on the back of the house. The access is thru a white privacy fence gate on the right of the house. The apartment door is on the side before you get to the back yard. The back patio is quite enjoyable in good weather and the shade trees provide a nice temperature. The entire back and side yard has a privacy fence. It is too cold in the fall/winter to really enjoy it at all. I make my phone numbers available and do not mind answering questions. The patio and grassy area in the back yard is common area for all to enjoy. If you have a dog I would like you to message me. If the dog comes in at all, the are not allowed on the bed. I will cover the living room couch and chair with a sheet. I expect all guests with dogs to do regular poopy scooping. I provide the poopy scooper and pick up bags. We are friendly people and would not mind interacting with our guests. The neighborhood is all residential. There are sidewalks throughout the neighborhood and we enjoy getting our exercise in the good weather by walking around the neighborhood. Some of our guests with dogs have taken them to the nearby Mann Road Park for a run. Our house is not close to public transportation. I rode the bus for years to get to work downtown. I found that the best place to catch the bus was at the old Marsh grocery store at Mann Rd. and Kentucky Avenue. It is the Mars Hill bus #24. You can also catch the bus at the McDonalds at South High School Road and Kentucky Avenue. There are enough areas to park your car at these stops as well.
