The Station House Motel is located in the charming village of Collingwood, Golden Bay NZ. It was built in 1907 and was originally the Police Station. It offers two Studio Rooms with En Suite within the Historical House and two Self Contained Cottages. The Station House is ideally located just a few minutes’ walk from the Beach, Courthouse Café, Collingwood Tavern and Museums, and around the corner to iconic Mussel Inn and Langford Store. Collingwood is a quiet location and the perfect place to stay to explore all of Golden Bays Natural Attractions. It’s a short drive to Farewell Spit, Cape Farewell, Wharariki Beach, Te Waikoropupū Springs, and the hosts can assist with arranging tours to Farewell Spit, which depart opposite the Motel. The hosts recommend a minimum three night stay as there is so much to see and do. please change around the corner.....to iconic Mussel Inn... to a 10 minute drive....to iconic Mussel Inn..... The Family Cottage is perfectly suited for couples or families who want a comfortable base for their Golden Bay adventures. Inside, you’ll find a queen-size bed in the main area and a small bedroom with two single beds. The cottage also includes an private bathroom, a sofa, Freeview TV, a dining table, and a basic kitchen for preparing light meals. Children love it here, with a large trampoline and a tree house with a slide. The lush gardens provide privacy from the main house, while across the road there’s a playground and a child-friendly beach just a few minutes’ walk away. The Family Cottage is an excellent base for exploring Golden Bay’s family-friendly attractions. Highlights include, Ngarua Caves on top of Takaka Hill and once in Golden Bay, Te Waikoroupupu Springs, Labrinth Rocks and The Grove. After a busy day exploring with your tamariki, you can return to the cottage to relax and enjoy the peaceful garden surroundings.
