Fall in love with our modern mountain retreat. This custom-built home sits on 2.5 acres of pristine mountain property, bordering national forest. Enjoy the beauty of the Chalk Cliffs, the majestic vistas of Mt. Princeton and Mt. Antero, and starry night skies. Mt Princeton Hot Springs, the Colorado Trail, and the ghost town of St. Elmo are minutes away, as are the towns of Buena Vista and Salida. The space The house sleeps 8 comfortably, has brand new appliances in a well-appointed gourmet kitchen, and plenty of indoor and outdoor living space to accommodate your family and friends. For those that like the modern conveniences of home, we provide high speed WiFi, a flat screen TV and Blueray DVD player, and a Bluetooth stereo system. A wood burning pellet stove sits in the corner of the great room and provides plenty of warmth on cold winter days. The perfect accommodations for your reunion, retreat, girls weekend, couples getaway, or family vacation. We strive to offer superior accommodations to all our guests, therefore smoking and pets are not allowed. And yes, that IS a disco ball hanging from the ceiling...we hope you use it! The southern facing front deck, with comfortable patio furniture, is perfect for morning coffee, or you can sit in the backyard shade to enjoy the cool mountain air. A picnic table and a gas grill, along with an outdoor fire pit make the back yard area a perfect spot for evening meals. Please note that we adhere very strictly to the posted fire bans in the area. If fires are not permitted, you will be notified prior to check in. We provide a propane fire pit to our guests when there is a ban in effect. You will forfeit your deposit if you choose to ignore the fire bans. Ignoring the fire ban puts not only yourself at risk, but also the lives of our entire canyon community. In the winter, we suggest driving a 4WD/AWD vehicle. Our county road is plowed, and with enough notice, our driveway will be plowed as well. But a 4WD/AWD vehicle will make it regardless. Come stay and play in the Chalk Creek Canyon and Arkansas Valley, where world class river rafting, mountain biking, 4-wheeling, mountaineering and hiking are at your front door. Welcome home!
