Burning Man Yurt @ The Sun House

This is a Yurt. If you don't know what that is, then prepare yourself for an experience. If you are looking for a common place with a shower then please look elsewhere. This Yurt has a composting toilet, and slop bucket sink, but it is round and cozy and my daughters and I try to make it as comfortable and clean as possible between guests. The space This is a Yurt. That means it is round, and the walls are thin and accordion style. This Yurt has been to Burning Man, so it is tough, but it deserves respect as it wasn't cheap and it doesn't have solid walls like your typical room. The sink uses a "slop bucket" system which was something common I used in Alaska for houses without plumbing. It also has a composting toilet . . . that means your waste will turn to dust in the future and be used to make plants and trees. But you must pee with the little door on the toilet closed and poop with the little door on the toilet open. There are ducks and chickens and cats on the property as well as a rabbit, so you need to keep the door closed or your home will become their home. There is also a stream that flows from a pond where all the gray water from the house goes. The stream feeds fruit trees on the property. If you have questions, please give me a call. Guest access Access the property through the shiny steel gate on the west side of the house (near the driveway). Walk all the way to the back of the property and that is where the Yurt is. If you arrive at night, you may need a flashlight (use the one on your phone!) Other things to note This is a Yurt. That means that it is a fancy tent. Don't expect a 5-star hotel. There may be critters and you will hear the wind and sounds of nature and birds and there is no shower (except an outdoor one. This is an experience and so please treat it like one. I am a single father and this is a project for me and my two daughters. Please be respectful and patient with us as we try this for the first time. Thank you!
