Our lakefront home with original log interior is spacious, yet cozy and charming! Located near Mackinaw City and Cheboygan, this home sits just a few feet from the edge of Lake Huron offering million dollar views and amazing sunsets. Relax by your crackling fire, listen to the waves gently lapping the shore, and watch as Great Lake Freighters slowly pass by. We are a group of siblings sharing with you, the house we were raised in. The huge backyard offers plenty of play space. We have some outdoor sports equipment and are 1/4 mile from the Rails to Trails bike trails. Bring your kayaks and launch right out front. You can swim at your own risk ( as kids, we wore tennis shoes or swim shoes as the bottom is rocky). Within a few miles you will find live music in the parks & festivals throughout the year, beaches, boating/launches, fishing, hiking - Kayak, tube, and boat rentals -etc... in addition to the Historic State Parks, famous Mackinac Island via ferry, lighthouses, museums, Coast Guard tours and SO MUCH MORE!! We have a basket with brochures, coupons and local information to assist you. The entire home with all of the amenities, front and back yards, 2 car garage with BBQ grill, beachfront, lawn chairs and all items on the premises are at the disposal of our guests, to enjoy during the time of their stay. We have every intention of someone being available for helpful input at all times, contact information will be in the home guide upon arrival. Although conveniently located to everything, this space is very private. You will have a small, quiet neighborhood with several neighbors to the east, but only breezes blowing through the trees on the west. Please observe a quieter time after dark. Easily accessed just off from US-23. You will not be near any public transportation, but will have plenty of parking on the property. We will provide an outdoor smoking area. We suggest that you bring slippers or indoor shoes and enjoy their comfort, as the home has very light carpet and removing shoes in the breezeway, is very much appreciated. Please observe the no pets rule. The guests following you may have allergies.
