Description
This 1950 fisherman cottage has been nicely renovated to modern standard. A lovely location, right in front of Queen Victoria Boat ramp, Brisbane's famous place for Kayaking, boating, cycling, jogging or just walking. The Tingalpa creek right in front of the house is an approximate 2 hours kayaking inland, and same to return. You can cycle for over half an hour without leaving the waterfront, up to Wynnum. Enjoy a BBQ with the family on the front grass contemplating the beautiful waterfront. The space WE PERFORM THROUGHOUT CLEANING AFTER GUESTS CHECK OUT. NOTE: Please be aware that we renovated a 70 years old house quite nicely, nevertheless in very strong storm rains, some water pressurized by the wind will be getting on the floor into the living area just around the back door, not at all in the other parts of the house. Lota, Manly and Wynnum are all lovely places with so much to do, with so many restaurants, snacks bars, coffee shops, marinas, markets etc. Guest access Available for guests to use for free: Pool table NETFLIX on big screen TV Board games Bocce game to play in the park in front of the house In the shed: 1 double kayak 3 single kayaks Life jackets for the kayaks 4 adult bicycles 1 junior bicycle Helmets for the bikes 1 charcoal bbq Other things to note This whole coastal region stretching from Redland Bay to Wynnum including Lota is under the influence of midges mainly at dusk and dawn (couple of hours per day). They can be around for longer hours on cloudy and humid days. If most people are ok, some can be more sensitive than others. When you visit the coastal area, don’t forget the citronella. The good news is that we don’t have mosquitoes.
