Experience the cozy, rustic charm of this classic A-frame cabin. Perched in a hemlock forest at the edge of the Pharaoh Lake Wilderness, the Treehouse is the perfect setting for an Adirondack getaway. Nature will greet you at the door while the comforts of home await inside. The Schroon Lake Village and various attractions, amenities and outdoor excursions are just a short drive away. The space A spacious living area has plenty of seating for lounging, playing games and dining, and an expansive balcony is great for entertaining or quiet contemplation. The cabin features two cozy bedrooms -- one on the main floor with two twin beds, and a loft with a queen bed and futon. It's fully stocked with everything you'll need for your stay -- coffee, cookware, grill, charcoal, games, firepit, and the list goes on. Let us know if you need something specific. Schroon Lake is also accessible by foot from the cabin. After a 5-minute walk through the woods, guests can spend the day on a small beach on public land featuring still, shallow waters - great for swimming, tubing or wading (water shoes are recommended). The adjacent Pharaoh Lake Wilderness is a large tract of Forever Wild land featuring mountains with picturesque views and dozens of trails along an endless network of streams, marshes and ponds. Many trails and landmarks are easy to get to from the cabin, either by walking or quick drives to trailheads. The Schroon Lake village and its numerous shops, restaurants and activities is 20 minutes away by car. The town features a 9-hole golf course, Art Deco-era movie theater, marina, local history museum, library, free summer concerts, town beach and playground, public docks, and the renowned Seagle Music Colony which hosts theater productions during the summer. There are also plenty of opportunities for kayaking, canoeing and fishing in the area. In the fall, the Adirondack Marathon goes past the Treehouse. Other regional attractions can be reached by car in the following times: -Paradox Brewery (North Hudson): 20 minutes -Fort Ticonderoga: 35 minutes -Brant Lake: 25 minutes -Lake George: 40 minutes -North Creek (Gore Mountain, Revolution Rail): 45 minutes -High peak wilderness trailheads: 45 - 75 minutes -Lake Placid: 1 hour 15 minutes -Saranac Lake: 1 hour 15 minutes Guest access Visitors get full access to the house, yard and deck. They will have the house and property to themselves. Other things to note Cell service is poor unless you have Verizon or AT&T. A cell phone will be provided if guests need to make basic calls or texts and their phones don’t work. The cabin is equipped with high-speed internet (wifi). The driveway is fairly windy and steep, and can be tricky. We lined the driveway with reflecting poles to help.
