It offers access to a mile-long shoreline trail, perfect for exploring the Canadian Shield landscape. Whether you’re visiting solo, as a couple, or with family, this retreat is ideal for anyone seeking a true Georgian Bay island experience—where you can unplug from stores, traffic, and the fast pace of urban life. ⸻ Getting Here The cottage is located on a boat-access-only island, about a 20-minute water taxi ride from Honey Harbour. The round-trip cost is approximately $250 and the boat typically fits a family of four (or more) plus gear. Car parking is available at the marina for $10 per day. If you’re flying into Toronto, there are shuttle services available that can take you directly from the airport to Honey Harbour. From there, you can shop and catch the boat to the island. For more details, see the “Getting Around” section. ⸻ What to Expect Please note: • There are no stores, cars, or shops on the island. All supplies must be brought in. • The island is yours to explore, with a full mile of outer shoreline, plus two canoes available to paddle to nearby islands. • You’re always welcome to book a return water taxi at your own convenience. ⸻ Utilities & Amenities The property includes a main cottage and sleeping cabins, all with electricity. You’ll also find: • Running hot and cold water in the main cottage, one cabin, and the outhouse • A Berkey filtration system providing clean, drinkable water • A separate outhouse building, equipped with electricity, running water, a composting toilet, sink, windows, table, and chair • A private outdoor shower at the studio cabin • A fully equipped kitchen with a standard fridge, stove, microwave, and all basic essentials • A propane BBQ located just outside the kitchen, off the back porch • Wi-Fi access and good cellphone coverage for most networks Please note: there are no indoor flush toilets and no dishwasher. ⸻ A Note to Guests We want you to feel completely at ease and in tune with the land, so a few things to keep in mind: • This is a unique and rustic property designed for those seeking quiet, nature, and a break from city life. • You’ll leave your car at the marina and travel only by boat from there. • There is no shopping or dining on the island—please plan accordingly. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by water, granite, pine trees, and sky, this is the place for you. ⸻ Guest access You’ll have the entire place to yourself—complete privacy and full access. Enjoy over a mile of natural shoreline, explore the inner island, and paddle with two canoes and a kayak. A friendly caretaker is based on a nearby island and is available if you need anything during your stay.
