Mawasi Finca
Description
Rest, relax and breath fresh air at our home made cabin. This was lovingly built by us, with the help of friends over a 3 year period. People tell us their is something magical about being inside an earthen house surrounded by giant, million year old boulders. The main view is of Iguaque, the sacred mountain of local indigenous people. The space Our place is situated two lots back from the road so there is rarely even the noise of passing vehicles. We have two pieces of property. On the first lot, called Finca Mawasi, we have four small cabins that we built ourselves with mud, rock, wood, and glass. Only two of the cabins are listed on Airbnb. It is a 5,000 square meter lot with gardens and lots of areas for relaxing. Behind that lot is the lot where our own home is located. We are on a hectare which includes a large open area with a swimming pond and viewing rock. This area is available to our guests with a small perimeter around the house that is considered private. Guest access Guests have access to both lots but are asked to respect the space of guests staying in the other cabin. Other things to note If you are thinking of a weekly or monthly rental please be aware that the large discount we are offering does not include toilet paper, soaps, shampoos, drinking water, laundry, or cleaning services. We do provide sheets and towels but laundering them is extra. Compost needs to be taken to our compost bins and garbage to the depot up the road. If you would like these things done for you a cleaning fee can be arranged when you arrive. Days can be as warm as 28 degrees Celcius but the nights get much cooler, sometimes dropping 10 degrees, so come prepared for two temperatures. We also have seasons of excess rain and rubber boots help keep house shoes clean. We are trying very hard to be as ecological as possible, therefore our sheets are coloured as opposed to white, as we do not use bleach. Our gray water goes into cleaning ponds and then back to the earth. We do not use commercial pesticides or fumigation so there are, at different seasons a variety of insects, including occasionally a scorpion. Registration Details 139408
