New kitchenette is stocked with dishes & cooking utensils. Picnic table & BBQ grill are for guests to use. 100 yds from Lighthouse & lake views. Welcome to your quiet Keweenaw retreat! Pet friendly for one sm/med dog (sorry, can't have cats); pet fee of $35 per stay. We look forward to hosting you! Welcome! The space Kitchenette has: toaster, coffeemaker, microwave, 2-burner cooktop and a dorm-size 'fridge. Plenty of blankets and a radiator heater for chilly nights! Note: the cabin is newly renovated as of 2021! Guest access Guests are welcome to use our personal kayak with prior arrangement. (life vest use is required, and we can provide one). We welcome a small to medium size dog as a pet-guest as well. The pet fee of $25 is NOT included in the AirBnb rental cost, but is charged after a guest departs. Other things to note Please note that groceries and gas should be purchased no later than Calumet. There is not a grocery or a gas station in Eagle Harbor. It's nice to be a bit off the grid!! There may be traffic passing by during the day, but it is quiet after the Lighthouse museums close! Fish - We are happy to store your fish in our auxiliary 'fridge, as no fish can be kept in the small cabin 'fridge! You have access to the auxiliary 'fridge any time. **Note for 2026 season - a new home is going up across the road, so there may be some construction going on during the day** Cabin and area information is provided in a folder in the cabin, including our minimal departure requests regarding garbage, dishes, and linens. Additionally, please note: Your cabin has a view of the west side of the historic Eagle Harbor lighthouse. You are steps away from the sandy beach or the rocky shore, including a wonderful observation deck for watching northern lights or those passing freighters! If you don't want to cook, a great family-run restaurant is 3 blocks away. Copper Harbor is a lovely 14 mile drive up the coast; Brockway Mountain Drive is accessed 4 miles from Eagle Harbor. Several forest hiking trails are within walking distance.
