Private, sunny room in farmhouse

This is a hundred year old, light- filled farmhouse on a half-acre; with rain gardens, fruit trees , berries and bees. It’s a peaceful, green oasis ; be sure to try hanging out in one of the hammocks ! The space double bed, claw foot tub bath around the corner. A large,bright room upstairs in an old, restored, farmhouse on half an acre, that has been turned into rain gardens and a backyard habitat. This is in the Overlook neighborhood of N. Portland, which overlooks Swan Island. You can walk to the river, the Mississippi Arts neighborhood, or explore cool eateries, cafes, pubs, and entertainment close by. Public transportation is convenient, making this a great place to start exploring all Portland has to offer. Car parking is not always available, but I do provide secure bike storage. You are welcome to enjoy the common areas and cooking is encouraged. There is always a project going on in the garden, so feel free to join in, or just kick back and enjoy a green, peaceful refuge in the city. Scout, an indoor/outdoor cat, and Kokomo, a Bernadoodle puppy live here also, and you will see a lot of birds, bees, and the occasional raccoon, possum, or coyote. Unfortunately I am not able to host other dogs, cats, or rabbits although I love them! The kitchen and bathrooms are shared; you will have your own dedicated space in the fridge and pantry, and a drawer for toiletries, so these shared spaces can be clean and welcoming for all of us. As this is a guesthouse with some shared spaces, I am only able to accept fully vaccinated guests. During your stay I live upstairs and work in the garden during the day. At night I’m usually out playing music or poker! You can always reach me by texting, and I’ll get right back to you. I love to cook and often have food to share- there are a lot of backyard BBQs and all kinds of fruit trees and berries in the garden!
