Oceanfront home on private island

Contemporary oceanfront summer home on Midcoast Maine private island. Gorgeous views of Five Islands, Sheepscot Bay and open ocean. Beach within a few steps. Miles of trails through woods and fields. Golf cart included. Boats available for rent The space The entire second floor is the master bedroom suite, which includes a private deck with magnificent water views. The guest bedroom and bath are in a seperate wing off the first floor, private from the rest of the living space. Guest access You will be able to access the entire house, except for the "water room" which houses tanks and equipment for the out-of-season rain water system. During your stay, water will be provided through the community's central system, metered and charged at 50 cents pef cubic foot. This water is tested regularly to state standards. Other things to note Please understand that there are no cars on the island. You will park your car in the island's private lot on the mainland (at $5.00/night) and cross the short distance to the island by boat, usually the island's small passenger ferry. Use of our personal golf cart is included in your rental, but the sense of the community is that walking is the preferred means of getting around and that golf carts are for carrying luggage, groceries, etc. or for those for whom walking is difficult (including infants and young children).
