Contact us if lacking, and arrangements can be made. Guests share our large kitchen with two sinks, ample counter space, dishes and pots and pans galore. Basic breakfast provided, and a well-stocked pantry of staples, condiments, etc. is always available to guests preparing their own meals. The living room is equipped with comfy couches, good lighting, well-stocked bookshelves, a cupboard full of puzzles and board games, and a baby grand piano piled with sheet music and songbooks. Beyond the french doors is a large wrap-around porch that's lovely for sitting, reading, chatting, or eating meals in balmier months. Our home is on a 600-acre property surrounded by meadows, forests, and hills. A grassy-banked swimming pond sits a short distance away. We have a network of mapped trails for hiking, skiing, or snowshoeing that link to other equally pristine woodland properties. Trails offer spectacular views of Green (Vermont) and White (New Hampshire) Mountains. Much of the surrounding area has been protected from development through the Orange County Headwaters Project (target area 35,000 acres), which we helped start. It is one of the largest unbroken sections of undeveloped forest land in this part of Vermont; wildlife is particularly abundant. All this can be explored on foot from outside our door. During your stay For years we've hosted individuals and groups of all kinds, from family gatherings to weddings to attendees at workshops and meditation retreats in the area. Our lives have always seemed to blend with the interests of our visitors. We're happy to chat, provide information on the surroundings, lead guests on short walks, or, when desired, leave them alone to enjoy the peace and beauty of the place. We're fortunate to live on this beautiful mountaintop. We look forward to sharing it with you.
