The space The Studio was built in the 1870s as a carriage house and subsequently converted into an art space in the 1940's for Stafford Good, a contemporary artist of NC Wyeth. The kitchen, 2 bedrooms, and full bath are separated from the large “Artist Studio” room by French doors. A deck is located off the main bedroom with spectacular field and mountain views. Our farmhouse is across the driveway, yet completely private from the Studio (no windows on that side of the Studio building). For foodies, you’ll have access to a fully stocked pantry, cooking utensils, stove, oven, microwave, charcoal grill, and full-sized refrigerator to whip up your culinary delights with locally sourced fresh organic produce and herbs. Eggs from our flock of hens are provided for your enjoyment as well. For those who prefer to leave the cooking to others, there are abundant excellent and highly rated dining options just a short scenic drive away. You’ll find our location in Gilmanton very convenient to the majority of the Lakes Region attractions. We’re located within an easy twenty-minute drive of Bank of NH Pavillion, Lake Winnipesaukee, Gunstock Mountain Resort, Loudon Speedway, Wolfeboro & many others. NOTE: October, November & December Guests - The large "Artist Studio" room is heated with a pellet stove to which you may need to periodically add supplied pellets.
