This is the historic "Log Cabin", our most popular cabin. 20 minutes from world famous fly-fishing on South Fork of the Snake River. 1 hr 15 min from Grand Tetons NP, 2 hrs 15 min from Yellowstone NP. • 1 room with a queen size bed, bunk bed, and twin bed • Private bathroom with tub and shower • Private covered porch Perfect place to relax and enjoy the fresh mountain air and peacefulness of the area! The space This cabin was an original homestead cabin at Granite Creek Ranch. It has been remodeled inside and a private bathroom added. It is one of four cabins that sit close to Granite Lake. We have a small community kitchenette that is shared between the four cabins. The kitchenette has a dining room with fridges, microwave, hot plate, and coffee pot. We offer a simple self-serve breakfast. Granite Creek Ranch is a century old working cattle and horse ranch. Though just a couple miles off the highway it feels very secluded and is very peaceful. Guest access Guests have access to the property where they can enjoy hiking, mountain biking, canoeing and free fishing on our 5 acre Granite Lake. We provide life-jackets that must be worn while on the water. We offer guided horseback trailrides at $45/person for the first hour. • Children must be 7 years or older to ride the horses. • Hand-led rides can be given for ages 2 to 7 for $30/half hour/person. • Rides are available Monday through Saturday. • Trailrides are not available Sundays. • Payment can be cash or card. • Please let us know in advance of your arrival if you are interested! • Closed-toe shoes and long pants must be worn. Waivers are located in the welcome binder inside the cabin and must be signed prior to these activities. We offer guests a simple self-serve breakfast in our ranch kitchenette, which is shared by guests from all four of the cabins. • Food options include bagels, muffins, cereals, breakfast sandwiches, milk, juice, yogurt, coffee, and tea. • A small refrigerator is available in each cabin so guests can store some items for the duration of their stay. • Space in the fridges in the kitchenette to store food as well. • We have picnic tables, an outdoor fireplace, and a grill for guests to use. • Hot dog roasting sticks are provided. List of amenities guests have access to: • Hiking and biking on ranch roads and trails • Trail rides-must be scheduled • Free canoeing and fishing on the lake (fishing poles are NOT provided, it is catch and release with barbless hooks only)Worms, spinners, and smaller lures work best. Fishing may be difficult when it is hot, mornings and early evenings work best. • Large outdoor fireplace area with benches • Outdoor grill and griddle • Picnic area with tables and chairs • Shared kitchenette with fridges, microwave, toaster oven, hot plates and coffee pot Other things to note PLEASE READ! At times we may have cattle in the corral for doctoring sick cattle or for moving from pasture to pasture. Also, the ranch horses hang around the corrals most days. There are often wild animals seen on the ranch meadows and fields such as moose, elk, and deer. Verizon cellular service works best on the ranch. Most other carriers work within a few miles. **The nearest grocery store is the Swan Valley General Store located about 10 minutes East of the ranch**. Gas stations are located in Swan Valley and Irwin, 10 and 15 minutes East of the ranch. Please read the detailed directions to our location VERY carefully. Wi-fi can be unreliable and slow at times. We have a gravity fed water system from a natural spring. At times our water pressure may be low. We do not provide laundry services. We have a NO PETS POLICY. We usually have a ranch dog or two who love attention, they are not allowed in your cabins or the kitchenette area.
