Three Owls Cottage

The space Three Owls Cottage is a waterfront cottage on St. Joseph Island, Ontario, 45 minutes east of Sault Ste. Marie, and one mile from the village of Richards Landing. It is newly renovated, but dates back to the 1940s. The cottage has a private sandy beach about 100 feet wide and 50 feet deep, with an excellent swimming area and beach volleyball net and ball. The cottage can sleep up to 7. There is a bedroom with a double bed, and a double bed and a 3/4 bed in the beautifully bright sunroom looking out to the water. In the bunkie/laundry there is a double/single bunk bed, with room for an extra cot. Sheets, towels and pillows are provided. The property has wireless internet, on-site laundry facilities, and two bathrooms, one 3-piece and one 2-piece. There is a spacious outdoor shower. There is a television with VCR and DVD player and a limited library of movies (but no cable or reliable channels). A large assortment of family games and puzzles will complete your cottage experience! Water is from the lake, and treated with ultra violet light to make it potable. The cottage includes use of two canoes, three sit-on-top kayaks, 2 sit-in kayaks, two stand up paddleboards and a row boat. There is a fire pit with lots of firewood on the property for ending your evening around a cozy outdoor wood fire. The village of Richards Landing, just one mile down the road, offers: a 24-hour clinic and hospital a grocery store open 7 days/week a liquor store excellent gift and antique stores a boat launch and marina a restaurant (and more within a few more minutes drive) Other things to note During July and August, we allow bookings of full-weeks only. During other months, the minimum stay is 4 nights.
