Shaker Heights is one of Cleveland’s most historic and architecturally elegant neighborhoods. This almost 100 year old DUPLEX Tudor home sits on beautiful Historic Winslow Road. The RTA rail stop is a two minute walk. Close proximety to downtown, museums, Cleveland Clinic, UH, University Circle, Colleges and Universities. The new Van Aken restaurants and shops are just up the street. Lots of shopping by nearby. Take in all the city has to offer as you’ll be only a short distance from everything The space The entire first floor of this 1928 two bedroom one bath DUPLEX is yours to enjoy. We know how important it is to feel comfortable & relaxed while traveling so we aim to provide everyone that stays a place to recharge, relax and enjoy. We have tried to provide all the necessary furnishings and essentials you may need for a comfortable stay. Please note this apartment is in a 100 year old duplex (2 family) home, meaning each apartment has its own floor and private entrance inside the house. This listing is on the first floor. Being that there will be a family living upstairs you will hear some noise occasionally. (Footsteps, doors closing, etc) We like people to keep this in mind when renting. The home is also in a family neighborhood with lots of children. Chances are you will hear noise from the outside neighborhood goings-on. If you need a home with complete quiet I would look elsewhere. *Please inform of any allergies prior to your booking/stay. *No parties permitted. *No smoking permitted inside the home. KITCHEN: has a new full size refrigerator and full size stove/oven. Coffee maker, tea pot, iron and board, dinnerware, silverware, pots and pans, cookware, knives, toaster, microwave. Coffee, tea and some snacks provided. There is no dishwasher but a drying rack and dish soap are provided. LIVING ROOM: with 65 inch HD flat screen tv. The tv does not have cable but is on antenna. There is also an apple tv with Netflix, Prime and Hulu for your enjoyment. A comfortable sectional couch and throw blankets. Storage armoir has games and recreational activities. Coat closet with hangers. There is a working fireplace and Duraflame logs are provided for a $5.oo charge (during winter season only). No wood or any other material besides Duraflame are allowed. FIRST BEDROOM: has a queen adjustable bed, dresser with mirror and drawers, and a 42 inch flat screen smart TV with antenna. Closet with coat hangers. SECOND BEDROOM: has a queen bed and storage cabinet. Small flat screen smart tv with antenna. Closet with hangers. BATHROOM: is located in the hallway and has antique original tile with newer fixtures & shower. Towels & washcloths are provided. There is a hairdryer and extra toiletries in case something is forgotten. Toilet paper, shampoo, soap and other essentials available for your needs. First aid kits are also provided. A shared washer and dryer is in the basement. An iron and ironing board in the kitchen. We provide a laundry basket, soap and dryer sheets. A small back porch is located off of the second bedroom. There is one parking space provided. We can accommodate only one car or smaller sized SUV. The parking area is shared with the unit upstairs. A single car drive way leads to two parking spaces in front of the garage, one for you and one for the upstairs unit. Street parking is available in front of the house during the day. You cannot park on the street between the hours of 2am-6am or you will get a ticket. There is additional parking across the street in the church parking lot if you have a larger vehicle or second car. A playground is directly across the street. RTA train stop is less than a block away beyond the playground / park. Please be aware this space takes up the entire first floor of a two family duplex. The home has wood floors throughout and was built in 1928. You WILL hear some noise coming from the upstairs occasionally such as footsteps or a door closing as you will be sharing the house with the upstairs apartment. Please only rent this listing if you are comfortable with that. There are absolutely NO PARTIES permitted. Due to the fact this is a two family dwelling it is necessary to be respectful with the noise level after 10:00pm. This home has window air conditioning units and gas boiler heating. There is a thermostat in the apartment to control your heating temperature. This home is not child proofed. Please use your own discretion if traveling with smaller children. Please inquire if traveling with pets as we accept them only on a case to case basis for an extra charge and security deposit. There is a cat and medium size dog residing in the upstairs apartment. The cat is indoor only and you will not see him but please be aware for people with extreme allergies. The dog will be taken out for walks through the front door only. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING PERMITTED INSIDE THE HOUSE. A $200.00 fee will be applied against guests deposit for professional cleaning and deodorizing if guests smoke inside the home.
