Amazing area: 'Rail to trail' bike routes, pools, lakes, kayaking, entertainment. *Contemporary, very clean, light and airy, large space includes: private bedroom, living room, bathroom and kitchen. *Kitchen - everything you'll need: Single coil electric burner, coffee maker, tea maker, French press, microwave, large toaster oven for baking, electric fry pan, electric burner, toaster, smoothie blender, large new refrigerator/freezer (no full size stove) etc., and grill can be requested. *Private entrance patio doors. *Home backs up to a lake and wildflower prairie - beautiful view and active wildlife in summer, serene in winter. *Our lake is divided by a freeway. Noise is dependent on the direction of the wind. *House Rule: No Visitors on property (We are often asked this question.) *House Rule: We're sorry, but No Children. *The private, key-less entrance is located around the back of the house, down some outside stairs with solar lights and railings (short four inch risers with railing). My wife and I live on the main level, a separate space. Always available by text. You can expect mostly privacy. A delicious starter Welcome Basket of fresh bakery bread, butter, coffee/tea, fresh fruit, yogurt, milk, and cold cereal will greet you for your continental breakfast. Chrysalis is our 10 year old beagle. The Guest Suite is a dog free zone, but she may be outside, you may hear her on occasion. Lily is a 2 year old rescue. She just came to us. She is skiddish of new people, so please enjoy her from a distance as she acclimates to her new home. In the Spring for three weeks, the outer deck needs to be covered. We have a cottonwood tree that drops sap on the (high maintenance!) maintenance free deck. Unfortunately, these weeks change every year. We move the outdoor furniture to the hill for Guest enjoyment, similar view/vantage point. This time is usually the end of May into June. If you are able to check in with us on dates prior to booking that can be helpful due to property projects and longer stays. We love hosting and have met such wonderful people. Dennis *Very private fenced backyard, 'a suburban oasis!' * Nature setting with two decks, wild flower prairie, and 54 arborvitae trees! *We are out back on occasion to maintain the yard, water flowers, manage snow, weed prairie. The decks and gazebo are for your enjoyment - Very comfortable furniture. *Walking/biking paths starting from our neighborhood, even around the lake and connected to longer trails. Three beaches within ten minutes/boat rentals. Bring your bike! *House Rule: No Visitors on property. *Active, friendly neighborhood with children playing in the summer. *I work full time as an electrician, my wife is a musician. *The neighborhood is upscale with lovely homes, and neighbors. Houses are close to each other, not noticeable when in the Guest Suite with our private backyard. We're glad to provide any information you need to help you explore or get to your destination. We are 16 miles from Minneapolis; public transportation is available for nominal fee. We are a short distance to the country. Bike and walking paths abound, local pool and lakes for swimming in abundance. Maple Grove was well planned: Most major roads have sidewalks, so getting to stores, restaurants and coffee shops can be achieved by bike or walking (a couple miles). Restaurants and shopping close by. We are located close to grocery stores (Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Target, Cub, Aldi's), coffee houses, walking paths, great Three Rivers Parks, Maple Grove Hospital, many specialty clinics including a U of MN Medical Center and Park Nicollet Medical Center. We are just a couple miles off the freeway exit. *The space is freshly painted, contemporary. *Maximum two Air BnB Guests. No visitors on property. *Extra towels in bathroom linen closet, change of sheets. *Cleaning: during Covid, to maintain distance, Guests have opted to maintain space: we can provide cleaning supplies. Optional - Bathroom cleaned and floors/carpet maintained by host weekly. *Guests take out trash, maintain space. Guests strip bed end of stay as physically able, if time allows . *Our lake is a private city lake, not a swimming lake. Beautiful public access swimming lakes/beaches and boat/kayak/canoe rentals are close by, 15 minute drive or bike. *Maple Grove Community Center has two pools, including a lap pool: daily passes can be purchased. *Parking: Short driveway allows room for one car.
