A peaceful, historic small town within a short drive to Denver, Colorado Springs and the Colorado Rockies. You may see the locals on horseback or the local deer grazing in the front yard. Our parks and restaurants are uncrowded making reservations unheard of. Wander the historic shopping district just a few blocks away for antiques, artwork or just to enjoy the architecture. This is a real town, not a typical tourist destination. The locals are friendly and laid back. Not a single souvenir shop in sight! A terrific public golf course is just 10 minutes away. You will definitely need your own transportation. There is no public transport nearby and Uber is not generally available. But the town is small making everything within walking distance.
