Cabin in Lake Santeetlah
Description
Cozy vintage cabin on beautiful Lake Santeetlah. Enjoy the water views from the screened in porch, dip your feet in the clear lake on the private dock, or take a kayak out to explore the coastline. In cooler weather, snuggle up by the fire with a good book. Lake Santeetlah is nestled in the mountains of NC, and 80% of the coastline is national forest. The lake is quiet, serene, and absolutely beautiful. Check out our cabin on instagram: @thecovecabin. The space Our little midcentury cabin is not fancy, but it is cozy and comfortable, with simple modern decor. You'll have 80 feet of private shoreline and a small dock to enjoy the lake. We provide a paddleboard, 3 kayaks (1 double, 2 singles), and a canoe. Other things to note Please know that the cabin is small--just 560 square feet. We think that the tiny size adds to its coziness, and there is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy. Also, this is a simple, rustic cabin, not a luxury property. The house was built in 1962, and we've been slowly sprucing it up since we bought it in 2019. You may see evidence of our many projects when you stay (a partially painted space, for example)...please pardon our progress, and we will make sure that it doesn't interfere with your enjoyment of the cabin. There are lots of steps from the road to the cabin! We have a SmartTV with access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, and YouTube TV. There is no cable. There is Wi-Fi, but know that sometimes service in the area can be spotty. Cell service is very limited at the cabin, so you may want to set up Wi-Fi calling before you arrive. We aren't able to provide firewood at the cabin, so pick some up on your way if you want to have fire in the firepit. For the cooler months, there is an indoor fireplace—please read the guide in the cabin before use. You’re more than welcome to bring a boat and use our dock. Parking a trailer at the house is possible but very tight if you have more than one car.
