Unlike the sterility of other offerings, this house is intended to be lived in: stocked kitchen, honor-system liquor cabinet... make yourself truly comfortable! The space Thoughtfully designed with Scandinavian modernist detailing, the open plan affords vast amounts of daylight and fresh air. The owner is an architect, and architecture professor, who travels extensively through southern Africa each summer, working with humanitarian organizations. Throughout the house you find statutes, artwork and various trinkets that he has brought back from previous assignments. This is one of the most unique houses in Philadelphia! The house is intended to be used, with a fully stocked kitchen of excellent appliances and utensils. In the fridge and pantry you'll find condiments and other basics should you choose to cook and enjoy meals el fresco. Direct neighbors on both sides are wonderful friends, and their privacy and peace are of utmost concern. Quiet hours are STRICTLY enforced. NO loud music or loud conversations after 10pm. Bikes can be made available with prior arrangement. Please leave the home in the condition you found it. (Doors locked, windows closed, house tidy, etc.) Respect the neighbors! This home is located in a residential neighborhood and must abide by city noise regulations (8AM-10PM). Do not host parties. If we receive a noise complaint from the neighbors we reserve the right to cancel your reservation immediately. There is no smoking in the unit. There is plenty of outdoor space for smoking (as long as the butts are disposed of properly). Strip the sheets and place them and dirty towels in a pile next to the laundry room.
