The space Nestled in Asheville’s historic Montford neighborhood, this cozy 1/10th-of-an-acre downtown garden hideaway encompasses the best of both worlds, offering a luxury retreat into nature -- right in the heart of the city. You’re just a one-mile walk from the center of downtown (Pritchard Park, home of Asheville’s infamous Friday night drum circle!) and all of the best breweries and restaurants Asheville has to offer. If you’re in town to enjoy the music or art scene the River Arts District provides, you’re equally centrally located -- the ten-mile riverside pedestrian and bike path begins right at the bottom of our hill. If you're visiting for a personal retreat or romantic sojourn in the mountains, take advantage of your private hot tub (privacy screens included to ensure maximum solitude), indoor gas fireplace, clawfoot tub and private deck to relax, renew and recharge. Tune out and tune in on your private porch daybed love nest and -- during the growing season -- sample the tomatoes, peppers, berries and more in the “pick-your-own” garden on this eclectic urban farm. Business travelers and those on work retreats will appreciate high-speed internet, a dedicated work nook, kitchen, proximity to downtown, and our quiet, dead-end family neighborhood. Reconnect with nature and laze under the stars as you enjoy your custom outdoor fire pit. Be a kid again and cook over the open fire via our custom grill grate, or have a hot dog or marshmallow roast! (Complimentary wood bundle and S'mores sticks provided.) Local libations and snacks, complimentary coffee & other surprises included to set your Asheville escape off on the right note ~ Guest access The entire bottom floor of my home and accompanying backyard is yours to enjoy! This includes exclusive use of private deck with separate entrance, laundry room, kitchen, and fenced-in backyard complete with grill, outdoor stone fire pit and patio, hot tub and key-code gated access to the street leading to the nearby River Arts District. During weekday and daylight hours, friendly farm workers may be present in the guest gardens, though never on your enclosed deck. Other things to note ~ There are two flights of outdoor stairs leading to your private suite. For those with limited mobility, our accommodation may not be appropriate. ~ As a working farm, seasonal farm projects abound! This means that there may be friendly farm workers present in the guest gardens during weekday daylight hours — workers will never be in your private enclosed deck, or interior space. ~ Our secondary bed is a full-size, rather than a queen mattress. Therefore, it is appropriate for two smaller persons — or two people who are madly in love. ~ Our outdoor shower is available seasonally between first and last frost, generally from Mother’s Day to Labor Day.
