Welcome to my newly renovated studio apartment with full bath and fully equipped kitchenette. This elegant, spacious suite is conveniently located in the heart of Newberg and Dundee's wine country on a gorgeous 10 acre hobby farm hidden at the end of a mile long lane lined with hazelnut trees, vineyards, and pastures. This apartment is a gorgeous, peaceful 500 square foot space, designed with an open floor plan with both modern and traditional touches. The kitchenette includes plates, mugs, glasses, silverware, toaster, coffee maker, micro wave, oven, stove, and fridge. Coffee and drinking water are available as well, although our pure country water is great to drink...straight from the faucet. Relax in the luxurious queen bed with fresh white linens. Stretch out on the comfy couch with a chaise lounge. Whether you're here on business or pleasure, the small kitchen table serves well for meals or a work station. Just steps from your room, through the ivy trellis, is a seating area where you can sip wine or read a book while the sun sets over the vineyard. The large carriage house doors open on to another small outdoor seating area with guest parking directly adjacent. A few farm animals and two very friendly dogs will likely be around to greet you. My guests often walk the property...enjoying the views. Guests have their own entrance to the carriage house, which is completely separate from the main house, so checking in is super easy even if you arrive late at night. It's easy for you to come and go with little to no interaction with me, but I like to socialize with my guests when our paths cross, and I am always available for contact by phone or text, and I respond as quickly as I can. This guesthouse is close to many popular Oregon destinations. It's only a 45 minute drive to Portland and the PDX airport. We are about 1.5 hours from Mount Hood and the beautiful Columbia River Gorge and just over an hour from the coast. George Fox University is about 7 minutes away in nearby Newberg, and Linfield College is 25 minutes away in McMinnville. Babica Hen Cafe, Red Hills Market, The Bistro, and a Bubble bar are minutes away in the Dundee Hills. Nationally acclaimed restaurants...The Painted Lady and Rosmarino Osteria Italiana are seven minutes away. The Jory (at the Allison) is about 10 miles east. It's a rural area so there is no public transportation. A vehicle is necessary. Although we try to be respectful of our guests, you may occasionally hear a few working farm noises, the bray of a donkey, or the bleating of calves or baby goats. Resident animals include a cow, two calves, four goats, a donkey, and two friendly dogs. All are accustomed to people. This is a perfect place to bring kids and families are welcome to roam the property and check out the animals.
