Our comfortable, cozy little cabin is on 1.5 acres, nestled above the Village of Ruidoso. We are conveniently located about halfway between downtown Ruidoso and Ski Run Rd. which takes you to Ski Apache. Elevation is 7000 ft, so it's a bit cooler here than down in the village. It's the perfect place to relax and unwind after a long work week or for an extended stay. Featuring two bedrooms and two bathrooms, it accommodates a maximum of 4 guests. *****Please be advised the cabin is available for AirBnB members with profile photos and verification. *****While the cabin can accommodate children, it is not "toddler friendly."We have many steps leading up to the cabin; and the cabin is not "baby proof". It can be child friendly, depending on the nature of your child. Please don't hesitate to contact us for further information regarding small children before booking. We are also a NON SMOKING property...indoors and out. Our 900 SQAURE FOOT cabin features 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. One bedroom features a pine log queen size bed with an en suite bath. The second bedroom has log twin beds with access to bathroom in the hallway. There is a cozy living area with fireplace. A washer and dryer are also available if needed. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, drip coffeemaker, Keurig coffeemaker ( bring your own pods) blender, toaster, full oven, and full size fridge. We have central heat but NO central ac. We do have one window unit in living room area , one window unit in the queen bedroom, and fans in both bedrooms. Because of the low humidity and cooler temps, you can stay cool in summer by opening windows in the evening and closing cabin in daytime to keep cool air inside! Three decks allow you to enjoy the great outdoors with the comfort of home. The covered front deck is a spacious 16 x 20 outdoor living area with a double rocker, chairs, and an outdoor eating area. A large back deck off the kitchen is a great place to grill on the gas grill or enjoy your favorite beverage. Covered parking space under the front deck; protects your car from ice and snow. A third small deck is located off the queen bedroom for morning coffee, an afternoon book, or night star gazing. ****Please note..we are a totally NON SMOKING PROPERTY. WE ARE ALSO A PET FRIENDLY PROPERTY. We do ask you to notify us if you plan to bring a pet. We also ask that pets NOT sleep on the human beds out of respect for other guests. The cabin is professionally cleaned after each guest, but if you are VERY sensitive to pet dander, this may not be the property for you. ***If the cleaning service finds damage or excessive pet hair after your stay we will ask for additional payment to remedy the situation. We do charge. one time fee of $20 per pet for the stay. The entire home is available to guests. Kitchen is fully stocked. Guests may use spices/ condiments /coffee ,tea in kitchen and any appliances. Any condiments in fridge are for community use, also. Complimentary first bottle of wine is included! Snack tray on counter is for guests! Reverse osmosis filtered drinking water tap! Guests have access to bathroom toiletries such as shampoo, soaps, etc. Three decks make for a perfect place to unwind. The back deck features a gas grill. The front deck is covered and serves as an outdoor living/ dining area. It's a great spot to watch the hummingbirds in summer. Text messaging through the Airbnb app is the fastest way for contacting us. You may also call us. Email is fine as well but if you need a quick answer please text first. We live in Austin, TX and will not be present when guests stay. Our neighborhood is very quiet as it's located above the village of Ruidoso at 7000 ft. We do have 2 full time neighbors but they are generally very quiet. The other homes on our street are vacation homes. NOTE!! Our neighborhood is hilly and our driveway is on an incline. During snowy or icy weather we highly recommend chains or 4 wheel drive vehicle. The snow plows work hard to keep streets clear but our street doesn't get much sun exposure. We can’t be responsible for clearing the driveway should you find yourself snowed it. If you have chains or 4x4 you will be totally fine. Keep in mind this is only in very heavy snow that you might encounter a problem. There is no public transit from our home. If the weather is very icy or snowy it helps to have 4 wheel drive vehicle or snow chains as we're on a hill.
