Glint on the water is not a party house, or fancy, but comfortable and large for a family gathering. We are in a quiet residential neighborhood, with quiet hours at 11 on week nights and 12 on weekends for outside activities. We have a dock on lake Chapin, a 600 acre all-sport lake. There are many fish to catch, or you can swim and boat in the lake. Or, you can visit many wineries, micro-breweries or nice restaurants within 1/2 hour, and many other attractions within a short drive. We have a wonderful view of Lake Chapin from the house and yard, and a gentle slope in the yard down to the lake. We have a dock to sit, swim from, or boat from. There is ample space indoors, and a patio, as well as a pea-gravel space with extra seating and a fire-pit to use in the evening. We will not be present. I will be available for questions or emergencies, and we have a son about 1/2 hour away. The neighborhood is quiet. We are on a street that dead-ends into a cemetery. The lake is also generally quiet, though there are boats, skiers, and sometimes seadoos on the water. There is no regular transit, though there is a bus service that you can call. There is outside parking (on paved areas only, please) for 6 cars. The house is very comfortable, with several inside and outside areas for use. There is a gas grill and 2 TV's and cable to both. Four bedrooms & 3 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, family room, sunroom, garage, great outdoor space & furniture, dock, canoe, kayaks, rowboat. We will not be present when guests are renting. The neighborhood is quiet. The lake is the big feature, but we are on a dead-end road - leading to a cemetery, which is a great place to walk a dog. You can walk to town - with a full-service grocery and hardware store (hardware closed on Saturday), as well as several restaurants and bars. There is no real public transportation in town. It is an easy drive to quite a St. Joseph and Benton Harbor, MI, and South Bend, IN, with numerous attractions, as well as numerous wineries and micro-breweries within half an hour. Check-in is 3:00 pm, and check-out is 11:00 am. If you need some adjustment, please check with me ahead of time. Pets may be allowed, if pre-approved, with a fee of $100. We have beds for 12, for the listed rates.
