Welcome to Casa de la Luz. We are centrally located in Kill Devil Hills & have quick access to both the ocean & sound. We’ve created this two-bedroom upstairs apartment as a place for couples, remote workers, families & friends seeking some quiet space to rejuvenate & unwind. The octagon shape has been a symbolic architectural theme representing regeneration, rebirth & renewal. Come stay with us to relax & unwind in this unique Outer Banks gem ready for you to enjoy & have fun at the beach. We have provided a private parking space for your convenience and key-less entry. The apartment is located on the second floor with a private entrance and no shared space. Guests will have private access to the apartment and enjoy the privacy of their own space and the large wrap around porch. Inside you’ll discover a spacious setup with comfortable decor, a living room, fully equipped eat-in kitchen, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower and bedroom room furniture from Indonesia with a new king-sized mattress, reading chair and walk-in closet. The guest bedroom has a queen size Tempur-Pedic mattress and one closet for your belongings with a separate bathroom that has a bathtub/shower. The living area is an open floor plan with lots of space to feel always connected. The living room area offers an awesome French style leather couch & side chair, an Ikea Poäng armchair and ottoman, two end tables, an Italian style laptop work station and large screen television. Free WiFi, Netflix and Roku are included. The kitchen provides all the necessities you will need for your stay, including dining table & chairs, microwave, refrigerator, reverse osmosis drinking water to fill up your water bottles, a Ninja Coffee coffee maker with coffee and tea provided, dishes, glassware, pots & pans, cooking utensils, silverware, and etc. You’ll love the space inside and out. The deck is a great place in the mornings for yoga and meditation and has a shaded area with a table and four chairs to sit and enjoy the view of the stars at night with your favorite glass of wine. Our place is good for honeymooners, couples, families and friends who are looking for a quiet place to relax and rejuvenate. Our house has two floors, we live on the first floor and the apartment is located on the second floor with a private entrance and no shared space. Guests will have private access to the apartment and enjoy the privacy of their own space and the large wrap around deck. We are located in a residential area and we ask that you be respectful. We do live on premises in the downstairs apartment with our own private entrance and will respect your privacy. Great restaurants and experiences are all around. Located in the heart of the Outer Banks and an easy drive in any direction. Enjoy amazing sunsets just at the end of our street at the public gazebo, an easy 10-minute walk (check our pictures in the photo gallery), restaurants, grocery shops, coffee shops - (our favorite) Ashley’s Espresso Parlour and nearby local popular attractions. Check out our Guidebook and we also have a notebook with recommendations for all our favorite eateries and ideas of places for you to explore, and of course, we’re available if you have any questions about the area. You will find this to be a great starting point in any direction you plan to explore. For our families, we are a two-minute walk to our local Hayman park with lots of trees, swings, and slides for the kids to enjoy. We are located in a residential area and we ask that you have quiet time from 11 pm on. We are located on the west side of the beach. There is a multi-use path on both the main road and the west side/soundside for you to get to some local restaurants and coffee shops by foot or bicycle. The Hayman Blvd beach access is a 3 minute car ride and a 9 minute walk from the house. It is definitely within walking distance, however, we always recommend driving as you do have to cross a busy street. Over the years, we have learned a lot about making our clients feel safe and having the ability to feel at home while staying with us. We are following Airbnb’s enhanced cleaning protocols and will continue to do so. -This is NOT a "Partyhouse" .. please do NOT book this apartment if you are looking to party.
