Historical area. Less than five minutes into historical Chickamauga. Within 30 minutes of tourist attractions in Chattanooga, on Lookout Mountain and Signal Mountain, and along the Tennessee River. Our home includes two screened porches for enjoying morning coffee while listening to the birds, or evening wine. Kitchen/Family Room area (Television, DVD, VHS), living room with piano, dining room, four bedrooms, sun room for crafts, library (with oversized chair which is a pullout single bed), washer and dryer in utility room. Also combined washer/dryer in main bath (suitable only for very light loads). Detergent and Fabric Softeners provided. Outdoor glider beneath shade tree, water feature. Bring bug spray for outdoors - this is the South!!! If you enjoy cooking and want to try a new recipe, there are two shelves of cook books in the library - lots of pans and cookware. Share photos of your creations! If the urge to sketch the plants, landscapes or birds overcomes you, there are many art resources on several shelves in the library along with sketch books, drawing pencils and water colors in the sun room drawers. Please send us photos of your work! We would love to see. Curl up in a chair or on a sofa with a book - if you didn’t bring one, there are lots of choices on the library shelves. Outdoor spaces include a tennis court of regulation size (lines may not be painted yet), horse shoe pits are planned. There are some adult and junior tennis racquets and tennis balls in the sunroom to be enjoyed during the day and put inside at night. Horse shoes also will be found in sun room. (It is necessary that children using sports equipment be supervised for their safety!) Use of this equipment is at your own risk. Outdoor dining furniture is on corner of tennis court. Relax and enjoy! All areas except enclosed barn area are accessible. Areas around town (City of Chickamauga, Chickamauga Chattanooga National Battlefield) are accessible by car, and there is ample parking. Bicycling in the park is a fun activity. There are paths for hiking/biking. I am available at any time by telephone. Local hostess is available in person at some times and is available for phone calls and texts. I am available by telephone, text or email. Historic Chickamauga, Chattanooga, Lookout Mountain, Signal Mountain. Historic battlefields, monuments, Tennessee River, Chattanooga art district, river walk, Southern Belle dinner cruise, Crawfish Springs. Veterans Museum at the old Lee and Gordon Mill. The Iron Man competition comes through Chickamauga two times per year. Canoeing and Kayaking available on Chickamauga Creek. Travel by car, bikes are good in the park. Trail rides (horseback) possible at Trails End Ranch nearby. Kayaking also available nearby on Chickamauga Creek. Hang gliding from Lookout Mountain. Uber is available from Chattanooga to Chickamauga, but not the other direction at this time. The Captain’s Quarters closet contains a pac n play. Two sets of sheets are available.
