Depending on the time of year, enjoy multiple varieties of almond, apple, apricot, cherry, grapefruit, lemon, lime, nectarine, orange, peach, pear, persimmon, plum, tangerine, or mandarin trees! You and your family can pick your own fruit off the tree, and possibly take a bag/box home with you. In the summer, you can pick fresh berries and when our vegetable or herb garden is producing, feel free to pick some fresh produce for one of your meals during your stay. Folsom Lake is only a few minutes down the road from the ranch. It's a short drive to old town Auburn if you'd like to experience gold rush history along with fine dining, antique shops, and boutiques. Nearby, there are horse stables, hiking/mtn biking/horse riding trails, wineries, breweries, distilleries, golf courses, whitewater rafting, water-skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding, canoeing, fishing, and camping. Lake Tahoe and its nearby ski resorts are just over an hour away, and San Francisco is only a couple of hours away. Note: We do NOT allow any weddings or large events on our property at this time. However, Newcastle Wedding Gardens and Red Horse Barn and The Flower Farm in Loomis are great local venues that several of our guests have used. We can then host any of your guests at our property (like the bride's or groom's family, or even the wedding party), who may need a place to stay - our property is a lot better than staying in a hotel. Guest access Guests have access to: main house, honeymoon cottage, caretake cottage (if rented upon special request), pool house, pool, tennis courts, game garage, garden, and orchard. There is plenty of parking around the property. If guests are staying in main house, they can park up top near the game garage/pool area or in spot near hydrangeas near front porch. If guests are staying in one of the cottages, they can park at the back of the property behind the cottages. Please Note: The cottages are at a slightly lower elevation than the main house, so if anyone has difficulty walking up/down a slight hill, then I suggest they park up on the level ground near the front porch of the main house and stay in the main house. RULE: Please DO NOT BLOCK the driveway that is used to drive back/forth through the property. Leave path clear for emergency/service/property owner's vehicles to come/go if needed. Pull off to the side to park. Other things to note Absolutely NO SMOKING anywhere on the property. If evidence of smoking is proven, then host will keep the entire $500 deposit.
