Description

Stay in our beautifully finished apartment and relax on a private deck overlooking gardens and orchard. Eight blocks from downtown in the quiet Five Sister's Neighborhood. Walking distance to Church Street, seven amazing breweries, the waterfront, and scores of terrific restaurants. The space Our apartment was recently built and was constructed with an eye towards natural light. Surrounded by windows, mid-morning sunlight floods the spacious living area highlighting the natural Vermont maple woodwork. The space has a separate entrance, large bathroom and living area with cathedral ceilings, and large deck, and a large loft bedroom with a queen sized bed. There's a kitchenette complete with refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and hot pot, but no range or sink. There are great views of the magnificent sunsets over the lake from the loft. We have recently relocated just outside of Burlington, but are often still around during the week, tending the gardens, visiting with neighbors. We may or may not cross paths during your stay, but we're almost always just a phone call away. The Five Sisters Neighborhood is one of the gems of Burlington. Within Vermont's largest city, you'll still find a true neighborhood where people know their neighbors, kids play games in the quiet streets, and families walk or bike to the park (2 blocks) or to scores of eateries and breweries on a regular basis. We have lots of neighbors close by and we request that our guests be respectful, not host guests in our space, and not be too noisy during their stay. A few blocks down the hill is Burlington's up and coming art district. It's filled with terrific workshops, studios, galleries, fun new cafes and restaurants, great frozen yogurt, a cidery, some of Vermont's best breweries, awesome burritos, and Lake Champlain Chocolates which makes homemade ice cream! The parking spot on the left side of our driveway (on the Saint Paul Street side of the house) is available for guests. We are 1.5 miles from the interstate, and a ten minute taxi ride to the airport ($15). There is also a bus stop one block from our house. Burlington's beautiful and well-loved lakeside bike path is a short mile away.
