The space Built in traditional New Mexican adobe-style but with modern comforts, this 850 sq.ft, light-filled studio space has thick hand-plastered adobe walls, saltillo tile floors, wood "viga" ceilings, and Mexican-tile accents. It has a queen-size bed, duvet bedding (in cooler months), skylights, talavera-tiled bathroom w/shower, fully equipped kitchen, refrigerated air, heating, an eating area, large HDTV w/cable, and Wi-Fi. Location! Location! Stroll to historic Mesilla Plaza in less than 5 minutes and experience the area's premier visitor's destination, with shopping, Sunday farmers and crafts market, restaurants, bars, art galleries, movies, and much more. This includes one of country's top ranked Mexican restaurants. And we're only a few minutes drive to both the I-10 and I-25 freeways. From the house you can wander or bike along miles of irrigation ditches, farms and pecan orchards. Nearby outdoor recreational attractions include the Mesilla Valley Bosque State Park along the Rio Grande, our spectacular Organ Mountains Desert Peaks National Monument and the one of a kind White Sands National Monument.
