Our renovated guest cottage is a comfy haven in a quiet neighborhood. Previously our detached garage, it is a completely private home away from home. You'll love it's dedicated driveway parking spot and it's proximity to the RapidRide bus line to downtown Seattle and the stadiums. Perfect for World Cup visitors. The space This cottage was formerly our detached garage which we have renovated to create a comfy guest studio for two. It is right next to our house, yet it is completely private in every way and feels like a stand alone tiny home. Inside you will enjoy a queen-sized bed, a large bathroom, room darkening blinds, WiFi, and a smart TV that streams our Netflix and Amazon Prime accounts that we share with you. A pack-n-play is available for infants. The kitchenette has a large sink, mini-fridge, microwave, toaster oven, a single-burner induction cooktop, instapot, electric kettle, French press, coffee and tea, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc. The laundry area includes a washer, dryer, detergent, iron, ironing board and hooks with hangers. Though we are close to the airport (10 minutes by car), rarely do we experience flights directly overhead. We have installed noise reduction insulation which has created a very quiet, snug space. There's heat and A/C as needed - just set the thermostat to the temp you like. We are located in a suburban area south of Seattle. We arejust 2 blocks away from the H-Line metro bus route that takes you right downtown (usually about an hour long bus ride or a 20-30 minute drive) Guest access You will enjoy your own small private patio, the entire guest cottage and a dedicated parking spot in our driveway. Other things to note You can park your car safely in the driveway, on the right-hand side. Our family cars will use the left side. As with any urban area, it's best not to leave valuables in your car. The Garage does not have a land-line telephone. We assume travelers will have cell phones. You may check-in on your first day after 3pm and check-out on your last day by 11am. Earlier check-ins or check-outs can sometimes be accommodated, feel free to inquire.
