This residence is a light filled gem with views looking out to an enchanting garden setting. A traveler’s dream; centrally located, 5 minutes to the Santa Monica and 405 Freeways, close to LAX, the west-side and UCLA, the Getty, Los Angeles County Museum of Art and many other attractions. Very cool but snow-free! The space Set within uniquely landscaped and mature 4,500 square foot garden compound, the 6th Avenue house is a 1911 classic furnished with an interesting blend of contemporary and antique furniture, art and collectable items complemented by garden views, a patio deck and landscaped outdoor sitting areas. The garden area is a gorgeous botanical feast for the eyes with a multitude of stunning plants and specimen trees. The residence has 2 bedrooms featuring queen and full size beds, a garden view room with a desk, 1 3/4 baths, an open plan dining room/kitchen, all with vintage wood and natural cork floors. The light and airy ambiance is enhanced by vaulted ceilings. French doors in the dining and rear bedroom open to beautiful garden views. A large and sunny patio deck adjoins the dining room. A fully equipped kitchen includes glass door cabinetry, handmade Mexican tiles and stainless steel appliances including a stove, microwave oven, dishwasher, and refrigerator. The laundry area has a washer and dryer with a large and convenient folding table with storage drawers. Amenities include WiFi and cable television service view on a 65" LG OLED tv. There is on-site parking for one car. For health conscience travelers, the residence is a quick drive to Whole Foods Market, Erewhon Market and 2 local Farmer’s Markets featuring organically grown vegetables and vendors selling a wide range of food and other items. Over the years, the 6th Avenue house has been the short term home for many Hollywood professionals and was Cameron Diaz’s character’s blue house in the Green Hornet film. Located 1/2 block from the hip boutiques, galleries and restaurants of trendy Abbot Kinney Boulevard, the property is within walking distance to Gjelina, Intelligentsia and many other fine restaurants, cafes and bars for nighttime entertainment. The 6th Avenue house is a short 5 minute walk from the renowned boardwalk of Venice Beach with its many performers, vendors and outrageous cast of local characters, but it's far enough away to avoid the noise, traffic and parking problems that otherwise make going to the beach a hassle.
