The Church in Duncan Ontario

A unique yellow brick church built in 1901 converted into a chalet in the late 1980' s. It is situated on the Bruce Trail and is in the heart of the Niagara Escarpment a UNESCO biosphere reserve.Ideal for cyclists, hikers, skiers,outdoor enthusiasts The space The church in Duncan is very comfortable and cozy. It has 2 queen beds, two twin beds and a loft with a queen futon. It is very casual and relaxing. It has a woodstove and electric heat for winter and is ready for relaxation or can be a starting point for hiking,cycling,skiing, rock climbing and other outdoor adventures Guest access You will have access to the entire church. There is a log house adjacent that can be also rented if you require sleeping arrangements for more guests. Other things to note Please let me know what outdoor activities you like in advance. I have a few mountain bikes and there are outfitters who can take you hiking, rock climbing, canoeing and kayaking on the Beaver River. The hiking trails adjacent to the church are the jewels of the Bruce Trail system. There are caves nearby to explore ( see Duncan Crevice Caves) The best skiing in Ontario at Blue Mountain is 15 minutes away and you can park on the top of the hill and ski down to enjoy the resort. There are great restaurants in Collingwood, Thornbury, Flesherton all in the 15 to 20 minute range away.
