Our wooden chalet is located in the historic village of Čičmany, known for its uniquely painted log houses, traditional embroidery, and folk ornamentation, making it one of the most iconic villages in Slovakia. It’s not just the rich heritage that draws visitors here, the stunning natural surroundings and a wide variety of outdoor activities make it a perfect destination year-round. The space Escape to the picturesque village of Čičmany and stay in our cozy, authentic wooden house surrounded by stunning natural beauty. This charming retreat is available year-round and comfortably accommodates up to 13 guests, though we’re happy to rent it to smaller groups of up to 7 people (without access to bedroom 4 and bathroom 2). The ground floor of the house includes a cozy living room, a fully equipped kitchen, and two bedrooms. The highlight of the living room is a traditional clay fireplace, made from natural clay that was once used to insulate the original construction. You'll also find a TV with satellite channels, a comfortable sofa, a radio, a selection of board games (including some retro classics) and a dining table. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals, featuring a ceramic cooktop, microwave, fridge with freezer, electric kettle, professional coffee maker, and a dining area. For a relaxing stay, the house offers four bedrooms. On the ground floor, there is one double room with two single beds and one double room with a queen-size bed. The attic features a triple room with three single beds and a spacious six-bed room with two queen-size beds and two single beds. Its dormer windows with French-style glazing offer beautiful views of the nearby ski slopes and cow pastures. For your comfort, the house offers two bathrooms, each with a shower and toilet, one on the ground floor and one in the attic. A baby crib can be added to any bedroom upon request. The house also includes a spacious, glass-enclosed porch with two entrances furnished with seating and a sofa. Outside, you’ll find a traditional barn with wooden seating for 13 people, an outdoor grill area, a fire pit, a swing, and a trampoline for kids. You can easily park up to 6 cars directly at the property. While staying here, hike or bike through scenic trails in the Strážov Mountains, Strážov Waterfalls are a great destination too. Other local attractions include the Glass Heritage Museum "Sklený sen", Frivald Calvary, the Slovak Bethlehem in Rajecká Lesná, and Košeca Castle. Bojnice Castle and Zoo are also just a short drive away. In summer, enjoy the Veronika Thermal Pool. In winter, choose from several ski resorts: Javorinka Čičmany (in the village), Ski Center Zliechov, Ski Arena Fačkovské sedlo, Ski Park Rajecká Lesná or Ski Mojtín.
