Welcome to Fuchsia Suite Ole Samara! Fuchsia has a farmhouse modern design and can be configured as two single beds or a king size bed. There are two bedside tables with lights and a desk with chair and reading lamp. Beddings are 100% cotton sheets with high thread count and a warm down duvet. It has ample closet space, covered patio and a modern bathroom .Fuchsia Suite guests have exclusive access to a large fully equipped kitchen and a large covered deck next to it with an outdoor fireplace. The space If you are a group and need more room, Fuchsia is best booked with Jasmine which is adjacent to it. If you are even a bigger group you could easily spread out to Bamboo 1 and Bamboo 2. Ole Samara is a tranquil nature’s paradise situated on 10 acres, with the lower portion bordered by the year round Burguret river. It is located just off the Nanyuki-Nyeri Highway next to the Mt. Kenya National forest and consists of standard units, Garden suites ( fuchsia is a garden suite) and three luxurious tents tucked in the forest. Ole Samara serves as an excellent base to explore the Laikipia region, climb Mt. Kenya, do walks or rides into the Mt. Kenya forest, visit various game reserves - such as Ol Pejeta, Solio Ranch, Lewa, and Samburu National Park or just as a lovely serene place relax and wind down. We’ve created a lovely walking path along the river which is lined with indigenous trees and is habitat of Colobus monkeys which are a delight to watch. The river also has trout, so fishing is possible. The whole property has abundant bird life and is bird watchers gem. This is a perfect place for dreamers to reflect, reset and create. Guest access You have access to the room , it’s patio plus a large covered deck with chairs, tables and stools and an outdoor fireplace opposite a separate large fully equipped kitchen. The covered deck is wonderful for sun downers afternoon tea or lounging the whole day. You also have access to the serene 10 acres the property sits on that has abundant nature trails, a river – with trout if you would like fishing as well as two types of monkeys, including the black and white colobus, which are a delight to watch. The whole property is also a bird watchers paradise. Other things to note The booking includes full breakfast served at the pool house or at the pool side. You may also make special arrangements to have it served in your unit. The property is about 3 hours’ drive from Nairobi: the drive to Nanyuki is very therapeutic as you transition from the city to the country side with clear roads. You can also opt to fly with Air Kenya, Safarilink or privately from Wilson Airport to Nanyuki Airstrip, the property is located 5 minutes from the airstrip next to Trout tree restaurant. There is a range of activities to enjoy in Nanyuki including game drives to Ol Pejeta Conservancy 45 minutes from the property or a drive to the famous indigenous Ngare Ndare forest whereby you can get a chance to dive into the Azure pools. Samburu national Park is two hours away , Mt. Kenya Forest is across the road for hikes and picnics plus you have unlimited dining options around town with top notch culinary experiences with a touch of the Kenyan country side living.
