Hearthstanes Steading 3 - Lategillan Rig Cottage

Hearthstanes Estate is a working hill farm in the scenic Tweedsmuir Hills and adjacent to the only Wildlands of the Scottish Borders. We are located along the River Tweed, and within easy reach of Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle. We offer 5 self-catering cottages within the Steading, which have been rated 3-Stars by VisitScotland. The cottages can accommodate 2-8 guests each, a total of 24 guests (pets are welcome). The space Hearthstanes Estate is an ideal location for hiking and biking in the surrounding hills, with many worthwhile sightseeing destinations only a short car ride away. Within the Steading courtyard there is a Tack Room to store and dry equipment, as well as laundry facilities. The automated 9-pin bowling alley, fussball table and function room are also located in the Steading. Well accept up to two pets per cottage, but since Hearthstanes Estate is a working hill farm with cattle, sheep and deer; we ask that pet owners keep their dogs on the lead whilst walking in the fields. The gamekeeper offers not only roe and sika stalking, but also falconry demonstrations. Guest access You have full use of your cottage, which has been rated with 3-stars by VisitScotland. Please don't hesitate to ask if you require any additional items (e.g. extra dishes, larger cooking pots, another hairdryer, UK socket adapters, baby cot, high chair, etc), we live only 100m (yards) away and should have items. Please let us know in advance if you want to use the bowling alley or have a 4x4 tour of the farm. Other things to note Hearthstanes Estate is a working farm and therefore care must be taken when walking around the farm yard and livestock. Please adhere to all warning signs and do not enter any barns unless we are accompanying you. Do not let your kids or pets run around unsupervised.
