Rabbit Bay Cottage on Lake Superior The space Relax and unplug at Rabbit Bay Cottage right on sandy Lake Superior. We are 20 minutes to Calumet and the Swedetown Trails, 30 minutes to Houghton/Hancock, 35 minutes to Eagle River, and 1 hour to Copper Harbor. (NOTE: There is no WIFI or cable TV, and little to no cell signal at the cottage. This is a remote and rustic location that may not be suitable for individuals with chronic health conditions and/or physical limitations. For instance, there are steps to the beach, and stairs in the house. The sauna and wood stove may require you to split wood.) Summer rentals run Saturday to Saturday. Three night minimum stay for fall. Our seasonal two-story cottage has hardwood floors, a spacious bright kitchen, and a wood-stove for cooler evenings. From our cottage, you can see the sun rise over Rabbit Island. The bathroom does not have a bathtub; however, it does have a shower. There's a shower in the sauna as well. Guests will have access to the wood-burning sauna, kayaks, beach chairs, and a charcoal grill. The downstairs bedroom features a queen-sized bed. The upstairs bedrooms can sleep up to six guests.
