Other things to note There are two steep staircases in the house: a narrow spiral stair leading up the the loft and a steep ship's ladder down to the basement. There is a hatch to the basement that must remain closed except when in use if there are children (or anyone else at risk of falling) in the home. We can provide a fabric gate to block the spiral stair if needed.
