Guest access To get to the Château des Orchidées, located at 6 Avenue Georges Thoreau, 49400 Saumur, here is a basic itinerary starting from downtown Saumur: From downtown Saumur, head west on Quai Comte Lair (D947) following the signs for Gennes. Continue straight for about 1.5 km to the intersection with Avenue Georges Thoreau. Turn left onto Avenue Georges Thoreau. Continue on this avenue for about 500 meters. The Château des Orchidées will be on your right. This route is simple and quick from the center of Saumur. You can also easily access it by car or bike from the main roads in the area.
