Home in Pacific City
Description
This is a Lindel Cedar home, warm and cozy cabin style feel directly on the beach. Walking distance to the Pelican Pub & Brewery, where the dory fleet comes in daily. Fishing, beach-combing in the tide pools, or the nearby river are past times here. Other recreations include horseback riding, surfing & ATV off-roading at Sandlake. This is a place you can enjoy with friends and loved ones. Come relax and unwind at our beachfront home. Be warned though, winter the storms pile sand in front. The space This house is old and lived in. Please do not expect an empty house that is freshly remodeled used only as a quasi hotel. This is truly someone’s home. This house was built in 1970 and has not changed much since then. The 1970’s vibe comes with both charm and hardship. The world has become more advanced since 1970, but this house and its amenities has not. Stepping into our home is like stepping into the past. Be prepared for the time jump. Coming to this house is like going to your grandparents house. In fact grandparents live here when it is not booked. You will find personal items and odd decorations. Just a letting you know :) Also, this house is on the beach, front row. There is sand everywhere and it gets everywhere. This house was used to record and film an album for the local Portland folk/rock band, Wooden Sleepers, in the Winter of 2017. Check out their music video for a closer look of our cozy beachfront home. Guest access When you book, the house is yours. Living room with couches, tv, internet, roku, fireplace (we do not provide firewood), all 3 bedrooms, dining room, kitchen, and laundry room. All that you need is there. Cooking equipment, silverware, etc. Blankets, pillows, towels, it’s there. Just bring food, or get some at the nearby grocery store. Other things to note I can not stress enough that this home is a bit older and worn. We do everything we can to keep her in shape but please be aware. Also, if you are booking during winter months, know that storms bring and pile sand like snow. It changes all the time and there may be a big build up in front of the house when you arrive.
