The Barn Loft at Cardinal Springs Farm

Escape to the serenity of the Blue Ridge Mountains and experience the magic of Virginia country living in our 2 bedroom Barn Loft on 130 acres of mountain forests, pastures, gardens, ponds, and historic structures. Whether you are looking for a romantic getaway, a special place to celebrate, or a week-end retreat, you've come to just the right place! Ideal for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets). The space Our new upscale Barn Loft features a modern kitchen with stainless appliances, soapstone counters, and slate floors opening into a great room with a Vermont Castings wood stove to keep you cozy in the winter. A large deck adds a very special outdoor room with magical views of the mountains, ponds, and pastures below. Two cozy bedrooms with queen and full beds welcome you after a day of hiking, swimming, or just relaxing. Ceiling fans in every room make the central air conditioning necessary only in the hottest days of summer. The Loft comes equipped with a laundry room and is easily accessible for those with physical limitations. Guest access The Barn Loft occupies the end of the upper level of our "bank" barn built into the side of the mountain. Underneath are stalls, a tack room feed room, and storage. Chickens occupy one stall in a makeshift chicken coop. Our goats, horses, and mules have access to the barn lot and pasture outside the stalls but are stalled only if ill or in severe weather. Other things to note The Loft has a DVD player and a large library of movies and games. We also have a large stone firepit that is perfect for roasting marshmallows and gazing at the starlit sky. We welcome friendly, well trained dogs upon approval and charge a $65 cleaning fee per pet, 2 max. Pet Guidelines must be followed.
