This eclectic 1927 cottage is truly one of kind and the home of a local artist who lovingly restored every aspect of this beautiful home. From the charming front porch to the back patio and fenced in yard this house is the only one like it anywhere near Rhinebeck . From the charming front porch to the back patio and fenced in yard this house is the only one like it anywhere near Rhinebeck .Everyone who walks by this enchanted home stops to compliment its unique and alluring appeal! We have rolled back the pet fee ( one pet allowed) and dropped the dollar amount of the cleaning fee to offset the higher taxes in the area. We hope this helps. ( this is on future bookings that are made after March. ‘25 when new tax laws were added) We have 3 charming bedrooms including an upstairs master with a queen bed and lots of interesting architectural details. Our bathroom has been newly renovated and is very comfortable and bright! Two comfortable size bedrooms on the lower level have twin beds and plenty of natural light. The living room is opened to the modern kitchen.. The cottage style kitchen has all of the amenities plus a great breakfast nook. The rocking chair front porch makes you feel like you've gone back in time. You'll feel like you've been transported to the French countryside without having to step on a plane! Special touches are everywhere with special attention given to every inch of this truly enchanted cottage! In addition this pristine home offers every amenity you could need to make your stay as comfortable as possible including wireless internet, air conditioning, fans in every room, washer and dryer and lots of toilet paper, paper towels, paper plates, pantry items, etc, etc. etc. We have quilts and blankets available to cuddle up in on a chilly evening. We have a backyard patio with comfortable chairs and a gas grill. The fenced in back yard has a natural cedar lattice fence so children and dogs can play safely while you are relaxing on the patio. It will be hard to leave yet there is so much to see and do in Rhinebeck. You'll be happy to return after an eventful day in and around Rhinebeck. fantastic dinner at one of Rhinebeck's famous restaurants and a great independent film at "Upstate Films". A day spent in historic Rhinebeck will be complete when you can walk "home" to the cottage and kick back on the rocking chair porch with a glass of wine. This house is truly "special" and we hope you will enjoy it as much as the owner does. Additionally, Rhinebeck boasts the Old Rhinebeck Aerodome, known worldwide for it's daredevil antique air shows and accompanying museums. Another well known attraction, the Dutchess County Fairgrounds, features many exciting events, one of the largest county fairs in the east, craft shows, the Hudson Valley Wine and Food festival, antique shows, the famous Sheep and Wool Festival, car shows and the list goes on. Several colleges are nearby including Bard College ( only 15 minutes away) with Vassar, Marist and the Culinary Institute of America not far at all. Rhinebeck is the perfect center for history jaunts to Olana, Montgomery Place, Clermont, Mills Mansion, Vanderbilt's Home and –- of course—FDR's home and library and Eleanor Roosevelt's home, Valkill in nearby Hyde Park. Omega Institute is only a 15 minute drive so convenient for commuting there daily for a class or workshop. You can even go there for a day visit and eat in the Omega cafe and explore it's beautiful grounds. There is a minipark steps away from the cottage with a gazebo, swings and playground for children to play. There is even an old fashioned liquor store four houses away! Guest access You will have access to the whole house and yard including completely fenced in back yard ( safe for children and furry friends)
