Your room is in an older 2 bedroom home built in the 50s. It is centrally located on the East side of Norman about 2 min. to downtown or 5 min. to OU Campus. Your room has one queen bed and TV with fire stick. We have a foster, a fun and agile Husky Shepherd mix till she is ready for her Forever home. You will have everything you need to relax and refresh, coffee provided in kitchen. Please read the entire listing before booking. The space This home is nothing fancy, it has still the old style wood windows but was remodeled /updated some 10 years ago to make it a modest comfy home. We are conveniently located on E Main near Walmart and you can get from here quickly in all directions. The house is right across the Griffin Memorial hospital, in walking distance to Walmart and restaurants and to Downtown. Even OU campus is like around the corner and you get there in just 5 minutes drive . Your room is decorated in tropical flair making you imagine being in southern part of the US already without moving a mile. You may relax on a queen size bed, work in a small roll desk and get entertained via TV with smart features. Kitchen is fully equipped, so you may prepare your meals and brew yourself some coffee or bring your meals from the restaurant home and keep them fresh in the fridge. The living room has local channels via Antenna. We don't provide cable but you may connect via high speed internet to your favorite streaming shows. You will share the house with guests from only one other room. So not much crowding going on in this cozy home. And we share the house with an agile fun Husky-German shepherd mix. She is a foster undergoing heart-worm treatment to get her ready for her forever home. So adoption may be an option.... ;) She still needs to learn that not all people are bad but comes around quickly bribing her with treats and if you toss that ball or frisby disk all day long... :) Guest access Make the house your home and stretch out where ever you feel comfortable . The only restricted area is the other guest's room ... :) Please be kind and be courteous to the other guests. We rely on everyone to treat the place with respect and clean up after yourself so that everyone staying there may enjoy residing here in the same order and clean environment as you have received it. Please no smoking and absolutely no recreational drugs like marijuana in the house (no matter if medical) . Thank you for kindly understanding and complying. During your stay I don't live there but am just 20 min away if you need personal assistance. Other things to note PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE have read the entire listing and understand what we offer and do not assume that we provide all the luxury you dream of. We are a modest affordable Airbnb HOME, and not a hotel or Inn or vacation resort. If you are expecting hotel service and want to pay double for being cramped in just one room without access to kitchen and prefer paying for laundry then my home definitely is not what you want. My place is open to the modest traveler who understand the house is shared with others (over who we have little control, though most Airbnb-ers are respectful travelers) and a dog. Isa is quite an active rascal and so we need your understanding and patience that sometimes (or often) the house is not a show case but a dogs home. Thank you for not smoking inside the house (not in front of open window either, please ), and absolutely NO recreational DRUGS on the premises (not 'medical' marijuana either). Note: We have the most lenient cancellation policy. We do not refund same day cancellations anymore. Unless certain circumstances make it impossible to get here, but will assess $20 service fee. One more last thing (in case you missed it before): one dog lives in the house, however, occasionally I also bring one or two (or three) of my dogs with me.
