Cozy Bear Cabin offers a year-round getaway in a romantic and majestic setting, minutes from Wakefield. Situated on lakefront, with a private shoreline, and surrounded by 3-acres of lush forest, it is a perfect destination for seclusion and peace. The space The quaint log cabin is nestled in 3-acres of forest and situated on lakefront, with over 300ft of private shoreline. The main room features a wood stove and dining area, as well as a living area with television and queen-sized sofa bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking, dining and glassware, key appliances, and basic spices and condiments. The bedroom holds a king-sized bed, and bedding, sheets, towels and soaps are provided for your stay. Outdoors you will find a lovely wrap around porch with patio furniture and a barbecue. A luxurious 5-seater hot-tub immediately adjacent to the cabin awaits you for relaxing under the stars. Read a book or lounge in our comfy 2-person hammock! We have a large lakefront dock off of which you can swim and fish in summer months. Our guests are welcome to use our canoe and 2 kayaks, along with paddles and life-jackets. In the winter we offer snowshoes to our guests for exploring the property or for hiking the nearby Gatineau Park trails! Guest access Find privacy as you surround yourself in nature. Nestled in 3-acres of private forest, Cozy Bear Cabin is a perfect destination for seclusion and peace. The cabin, lake and surrounding property are yours alone to enjoy for the duration of your stay. Cozy Bear Cabin is rustic and is situated in nature, so is ideally suited to guests that love the wilderness as well as a bit of adventure depending on the time of year and weather conditions! The driveway leading to the cabin is sloped, and while it is plowed and sanded/salted routinely, we advise having an all-wheel drive vehicle to access the cabin, especially in winter months. Winter weather in the area is often unpredictable with snow and icy conditions, and we ask guests to take care while driving to /from the cabin and while spending time on our property. Guests are responsible for their own safety during their time at the cabin. Other things to note Cozy Bear cabin is a quiet and relaxing retreat, and is not intended for guests that want to party or make noise. We have year-round neighbours with families, and ask our guests to keep to property boundaries and keep noise to a respectable level at all times. Guests we'll be fined if noise levels aren't kept to a minimum and/or if there is a noise complaint from our neighbours. Cozy Bear Cabin is a NON-SMOKING environment. Guests will be fined if there is any evidence of smoking inside or on the premises. Please note that we DO NOT allow cats. Occupancy taxes and fees: Due to recent changes with municipal bi-laws and regulations in the province of Quebec we are now required to charge a federal government sales tax (GST) of 5% and a provincial sales tax (QST) of 9.975% for all of our rentals. You will notice this rate already reflected in the "pricing details" summary of your booking, so you will not be required to pay any additional fees upon arrival.
