Modern, Rustic Cabin | Walkable to Downtown

Our cabin is just minutes away from all the fun that Helen has to offer, while also being located on a serene, private road in the mountains - the best of both worlds! Our cabin offers everything you could need for a relaxing retreat, featuring a loft bedroom with a comfy queen-sized bed, a bathroom with a large Jacuzzi tub and shower, a fully stocked kitchen, a living and dining area with a gas log fireplace, and a back porch with rocking chairs and a hammock swing overlooking the woods. The space While you will be staying at a little cabin in the mountains, we don't want to deprive you of modern luxuries, the most important one being wi-fi, of course! :) We also have YouTube TV so you don't miss any games or favorite TV shows, and you are welcome to log-in to any streaming services. We also provide amenities that we hope will make your stay more fun, like board games & puzzles, books, a few snacks, and everything you need to make a tasty pancake breakfast and coffee/tea! As of February 2025, we have updated the bathroom (new tile, shower, and fixtures). We’ve yet to update the pictures, but we think you will be pleasantly surprised 🙂 We also have a new hybrid spring/memory foam mattress as of February 2025, and a new leather couch as of November 2025. A few other things to note: - The cabin is located on a small, private road and driveway that is steep at times. Our cars are both older hybrids (aka wimpy when it comes to driving uphill), but we are able to drive up the road without any trouble. The road is not quite big enough for two cars to drive on it in opposite directions, but there are so few people driving on the road that it is rare to come across another car. If you do, there are embankments on the side of the road that make it easy to get around. - The walk into Helen is down a hill, pretty easy! The walk back from Helen is subsequently up a hill, so it is difficult, but doable if you’re up for a workout! We find it worth it to make the walk and not have to deal with parking. It takes between 6 and 30 minutes to walk to restaurants/shops/attractions, depending on where you want to go and your pace. (See our Location details for more information!) - The ceiling of the lofted bedroom is a little low - if you are 6 ft or under, you’ll be good, but if you are taller, you might have to duck! - The refrigerator in the kitchen is a mini-fridge and freezer space is pretty minimal, so keep that in mind if you’re bringing groceries. - There are 4 other cabins next to our cabin - a drive is shared amongst them. Guests at these cabins have always been quiet and respectful, and even with the close proximity, we think that our cabin still feels very private. - There is only one parking space for the cabin . Please plan to bring one car, or to find parking for your second car elsewhere in Helen. Other things to note Check-in is at 4:00 pm and check-out is at 10:00 am. Please respect these times, as we often have a limited amount of time to get the cabin ready for the next guests.
