Positioned on the edge of a cliff, Acra-Retreat is located on the border of the malaria-free Elands Krans Nature Reserve. It is a good stopover point between Johannesburg and the Kruger National Park. It features a seasonal outdoor pool and a children's pool and barbecue facilities. Horse riding, mountain climbing, abseiling and spa treatments can be arranged at the reception. The area abounds in birdlife, including species like owls, swallows and guinea fowls. All rooms offer a private entrance to the decks with mountains views. Each room is fitted with a flat-screen TV and satellite channels. Tea/coffee facilities, a safe, and fan are standard. Acra-Retreat Mountain View Lodge has a fully licensed pub. Sundowners can also be enjoyed on the deck, and dinners are served on request. The hotel is located on the way to the Kruger Park, 2.5 hour’s drive from Johannesburg. Free secure and private parking is possible on site. This room is on the upper level and offers views of the mountains. It has access to the main deck, which can be roped off for private access. The room has a King-size bed and a ¾ bed can be set up in the room too. The private bathroom has a shower-over-bath combo, and toiletries, a hairdryer and pool towels are provided. The room features 2 ceiling fans above the King-Size-Bed, a heater and a TV with satellite channels (OVHD-TV). Tea-and-coffee-making facilities are provided.
