The property is part of The Sea Ranch Association, which includes three recreation centers with pools, tennis courts, volleyball courts, pickleball courts, saunas and numerous biking and walking trails along pristine coastline and beaches. The house is very close to the Mendocino county line and the town of Gualala with great restaurants. Please use passes made available to use the rec centers (there are 6) and to use on your vehicles while on the Sea Ranch property. In order to get into the house, you need to use the lockbox. My number is listed on the Airbnb app. GOOD LOCAL INFORMATION: * To get to the beach, the street directly to your left when you walk out the front door and down the driveway is Sea Pine Reach; walk directly toward the ocean and you will see a path (they are marked) that will take you to the beaches. Go to the left after you head into the path off Sea Pine Reach and you will go over a little bridge. The first beach is a smaller, but nice one, but the bigger beach is just a little past that; it is called Walk-On Beach and it is a lot larger. There is a long stairway down to it. * There are lots of walking paths and bike paths as well in The Sea Ranch. The Supply lumber store (Sea Ranch Supply) located on Annapolis Road about half-way into The Sea Ranch on the eastern side of Highway 1 may rent bikes. There’s one helmet in the laundry room. * Gualala, which is only about 3 miles north of where we are, has some good restaurants; there is the Upper Crust Pizzeria, which is located on the right when you first get into town, which is very good. You can call ahead to order and pick up. Call to check their times when open. * Trinks is fantastic and is on the left in a smallish shopping center area. They have great lattes and pastries, but also sell food that you can take home and cook. * There are also two grocery stores, one more expensive on the left when you get into town (Surf Market) and the other (less expensive) on the right in the shopping center past the old hotel. * Mendocino is only about one hour north from Gualala. If you go, on the way you should stop at Bowling Ball Beach near Anchor Bay. The rocks look like bowling balls. I have a picture up on one of the walls, but you have to make sure to go there at low tide to see them. * There is also a place for you to see where the seals hang out; it is on the path near the water very close to where the house is. It is to the left, so when you go for a walk on the path, look out for it. *There is central heating with the thermostat on the wall in the hallway. It's best if you don't set a schedule; you just need to go to the System on the display and set temperature; don't worry about the "Temporary Hold". Just please do not set above 70 degrees and turn off when you leave the house. * The Sea Ranch Lodge is now open and the Bar is open every night for Bar food and drinks. It's best to make a reservation for the restaurant. Please note that Quiet Time at The Sea Ranch is from 9pm-7am, so no loud noises or bright lights outside during this time.
