Enjoy the view and the sound of the ocean from the veranda and refresh yourself with our infinity sea view pool. Stroll along our 20 km beach and experience our traditional fishing village. Savor the goodness of freshly caught fish and organic produce in our kitchen or at nearby restaurants. The space The villa is composed of two specular apartments. Connected but independent. Each apartment has: -On the ground floor, a large sea-view open space, with a kitchen, dining, and living area with two confortable sofa beds. -On the first floor you will find two, fully air-conditioned, sleeping rooms. The master bedroom has a big terrace overlooking the ocean. The second room can be set either with twin beds or with a double kingside bed. -Both floors have a bathroom with a shower. Just out of the doorstep of the apartments you have a shaded oceanfront veranda, an infinity pool, and an equipped private garden to share the fun! The Villa has internal private parking and private access to the public beach. Guest access You will have full and private access to all the areas of the property, pool, garden and parking. Other things to note We are located right on the beach of Matemwe, a small fisherman village still untouched by mass tourism. The area surrounding the property is still authentic. Matemwe is a Muslim community and the locals are very respectful of their traditions. The village is very safe and can be walked around but we encourage you to dress properly, knees and shoulders covered. You will find here and there some small local shops where the villagers buy what they need for their daily lives, a few mosques, and a lot of happy kids playing around. At walking distance, you also have a small mini market and fruit and vegetable sellers. The beach is a 20km stretch of white sand protected by a coral reef. The water is always warm and according to the tide, you can either walk up and down the coast or take a swim in the turquoise lagoon. The nearby Mnemba Reef is a fantastic diving spot and there are daily trips organized by the neighboring dive center One Ocean. From June to September and from December to March the monsoons make it a great place for kitesurfing. Along the beach, you will find some small boutique hotels, including our sister Villa Kiva. All of them are open to outside guests for drinks and meals. Some of them have live music and special evenings to keep you entertained.
