Sitting on 30 acres boarding Lake Isabella , "Eagles Nest" is a one story, beautifully decorated home. Living room has a huge beamed ceiling with a hand crafted stone fireplace. The house is built around a private gated courtyard with fireplace, barbecue, and garden. Most of the time there is a Lake view from every room but as the valley needs irrigation from the lake, the lake can fluctuate and be very low or not in front of our home. There are two marinas to launch your boat. River rafting in Kernville is fabulous. There is also a slower moving river in the town that smaller children can go down with an inflatable tire. You can also have a picnic there and enjoy your day going down the river. There are some great barbecue restaurants and also vegetarian options at most restaurants. Caretaker is within 3 miles of property for your convenience. You will have access to both caretaker and owners phone numbers. South lake is the south side of Lake Isabella in the South Lake Estates area. The old town of Kernville is historical and we recommend you visit Kernville. It is a beautiful drive around the lake and the town is very quaint with shops and a park with the river flowing through the park. You can sit in this area of the river. You can have a picnic in the park. Also, there are great places for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bakersfield in about one hour away. There is a small private airport close to the property but you need to have a car. This is country, rural area. If you bring a pet, make sure at night pet is inside the house. During the day keep pet in the court yard. There are animals around such as snakes, raccoons, rabbits and other country animals. Please use caution around rocks, holes in the ground, etc. as there may be animals under rocks or in holes.
